The John Thurman Historical Society will hold an open meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday June 2 at the Thurman Town Hall to which everyone is invited to stop by. The group's guest speaker will be author Pat Richards.
Thurman's quilting group is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Friday June 5 at the Thurman Town Hall in Athol. Everyone is invited to attend. For information, call 623-2633.

The Gleaning food distribution will take place at the Thurman Town Hall Tuesday June 2 at 10 a.m. This free food program is open to all residents. Please bring clean used grocery bags to carry your groceries home.

Jay Putnam of Saratoga and Myrtle Buyce of Thurman recently flew down to Orlando, Fla. where they spent a short time with their sister Doris Lasselle enjoying some sunshine. The three of them then started an automobile trip toward home - stopping off in South Carolina to visit Bob and Gay Farmer, and going on to Carlisle, Pa. where they called on their sister-in-law Evelyn Putnam before returning home.
