Sentinels race to conference win

Ticonderoga beat Saranac Lake, 95-37, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys track and field action May 14.

Jonathan Granger had a big meet for the Sentinels, winning the 400 and 200-meters and the long jump, He also ran a leg on the winning 400 relay team.

Devin Scott won the triple jump and high jump for Ti. He also ran a leg on the winning 400 relay team.

Josh Cook raced to wins in the 1,600 and 3,200 runs, while Jesse Clark took the shot and discus for the locals.

Jay Hebert won the 110 hurdles and ran a leg on the winning 1,600-meter relay team.

Jay Breube won the 800 for Ti.

Dustin Scott and Ken Johnson rounded out the winning 400 relay, while Mike Barber, Kevin Densmore and Pat Lonergan rounded out the winning 1,600 relay.

Ticonderoga lost the girls meet, 74-42.

Lexi Reale won the 100 and 200-meter sprints for the Sentinels. She also ran a leg on the winning 400 relay team with Megan Moser, Ainsley MacAlpine and Courtney Shaner.

Moser won the 100 hurdles, MacAlpine took the 400 run and Sarah Bennett won the high jump for Ticonderoga.
