Montreal Botanic Gardens trip planned by Fort Ticonderoga curator

TICONDEROGA - Heidi teRiele Karkoski, curator of landscape at Fort Ticonderoga, has announced registration for the annual trip to the Montreal Botanical Garden is now open. Dr. Leonard Perry of UVM Extension and Karkoski host this day trip to the s gardens on July 27 via coach.

Special features of the Montreal Botanic Gardens include the Chinese garden, the modernistic Japanese garden, tea room and bonsai collection; and many specialty gardens such as large rock garden, perennials in beds and mass plantings, roses, trees and shrubs.

There will be a carpool from Ticonderoga to Burlington where the bus departs at 8 a.m. Registration is limited and must be received before July 10. The form is available on the "My Garden Visit" page at www.FortTiconderoga.org or by emailing heidi@Fort-Ticonderoga.org The trip is $79 with and additional fee of $8 for the Biodome. Snacks are served on the bus. Lunch may be brought along or bought at the restaurant on site.
