"Nicole's doing a great job behind the plate - she's a brick wall," Collins said. "And Katelyn not only has a lot of speed, but she's moving the ball well around the strike zone and keeping opponents off-balance with her changeup."
Collins praised Shelby Jenkins for her key hits and savvy base running against Corinth and Broadalbin recently.
Last year, Lake George won the league, advanced in Sectionals but lost to Mechanicville in a C-CC playoff. Mechanicville is now no barrier for the Warriors, as the school has moved up to the B rank, Collins said.
"To achieve our goals, our players need to keep working hard and stay tough, keep their bats producing and not rely on Katie to pull the team through," she said.
