Sentinels dominate meet

Ticonderoga won every single event as it crushed Lake Placid, 105-8, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys track and field action April 28.

Jay Berube and Jesse Perkins each claimed three wins for the locals.

Berube won the 400 and 800-meter runs and ran a leg on the winning 3,200-meter relay team.

Perkins won the 100-meter sprint and the high jump and ran a leg on the winning 400-meter relay team.

Joe LaPerle won the 1,600-meter run and Brendan Carberry took the 400 hurdles. They then joined with Berube and Josh Cook to win the 3,200 relay.

Devin Scott won the triple jump and Jonathan Granger won the long jump. They also teamed with Perkins and Ken Johnson to win the 400 relay.

Jesse Clark captured the shot and discus for the winners.

Pat Lonergan won the 200 dash and Jay Hebert took the 110 hurdles for Ti.

Ticonderoga won the girls meet, 72-26.

Courtney Shaner won the 100 and 400-meter hurdles for the Sentinels and ran a leg on the winning 400 relay team.

Jordana Green raced to wins in the 1,500 and 800-meter runs.

Ainsley MacAlpine won the 100 dash and ran a leg on the winning 400 relay.

Megan Moser won the long jump and ran a leg on the victorious 400 relay.

Sarah Bennett rounded out the relay squad.

Jordan Quesnel won the shot and Delaney Bush took the discus for Ti.

Ti splits

Ticonderoga topped Plattsburgh, 91-41, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys track and field action April 30.

Dustin Scott won the high and triple jumps and ran a leg on the winning 400-meter relay team for the Sentinels.

Jesse Clark, Jay Berube, Brendan Carberry, Jonathan Granger and Jesse Perkins were double winners for the locals.

Clark took the shot and discus. Berube won the 1,600-meter run and ran a leg on the winning 3,200-meter relay team. Carberry ran a leg on the 3,200 relay and won the 400 hurdles. Granger took the long jump and ran a leg on the winning 400-meter relay team. Perkins won the 100 dash and ran a leg on the 400 relay.
