AuSable Valley 4

PLATTSBURGH - The Patriots raced out to an early 4-1 lead, but couldn't hold on as they fell to the Hornets in CVAC baseball April 29.

Jared Murphy held AuSable Valley scoreless after the second inning as Plattsburgh took advantage of some big hits in the fourth.

Losing pitcher Eric Rock had seven strikeouts in seven innings for the Patriots.

Keene 14, Willsboro 9

WESTPORT - A pair of two-run homers by Dylan Boyle and Sam Earl powered the Beavers past Willsboro in MVAC baseball April 29.

Earl went 4-for-5 with three RBIs for Keene while Boyle, Cody Whitney, James Bell, and Luke Andrews all had two hits. Sean Davis and Michael Tyler had four hits and three hits, respectively, for Westport.

Earl logged the win on the mound for the Beavers while Kevin Russell picked up the loss as one of five pitchers for Westport.

Chazy 13,

Elizabethtown-Lewis 6

CHAZY - The Eagles raced out to a 5-0 lead, and cruised for a win over Elizabethtown-Lewis in MVAC baseball April 29.

Tim LaRock led a solid day of batting for the Lions with two doubles, but it was not enough to match the 17 hits amassed by Chazy. Andy Mitchell, Mike Gowdy, and Josh Pierce each added two hits during the game.

Mitchell suffered the loss for ELCS, giving up 9 runs in the first three innings.

Schroon Lake 10, Willsboro 6

WILLSBORO - Six singles were all the hits the Warriors could muster as Schroon Lake piled on the runs in MVAC baseball April 29.

Matt Savarie pounded four hits against losing pitcher Lucas Strong, including a double and a home run. Ethan Tyrell also had a homer for the Wildcats, who scored in every inning but the fourth.
