The Kenyontown United Methodist Church on Valley Rd. will be hosting a "Singspiration" gathering and luncheon Tuesday May 5 at 7 p.m. and everyone is asked to bring a dish to pass. For details, call Jeff at 623-3940.

I hope to see all taxpayers at the school budget hearing to be held in Thurman at 7 p.m. Monday May 4 at the town hall. Those unable to attend a meeting may send a letter to the school board at the high school. However, the budget has already been voted on by the board, and now it's a matter of either voting for it or against it May 19.

The Gleaning food distribution will take place at the town hall 10 a.m. Tuesday May 5. Participants are asked to bring clean used bags in which to take food items home. This free program is open to all town residents.

The Thurman Volunteer Fire Co. will hold an open meeting at 7 p.m. Monday May 4. The company is seeking new members to help out in the community. For information, call 623-2464.
