On Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29, Shelburne Farms will be part of the state-wide Maple Open House Weekend. Our sugarbush will be open on Saturday for hands-on activities with a maple theme as educators welcome visitors to tap a tree and taste sugar on snow. On Sunday visitors will be able to take a self-guided tour of the sugarbush and see the sugarmakers in action.
Maple Open House Weekend is from 9:30 to 2:30 both days and is free to all.
The Shelburne 4-H Explorers and their parents will be serving a pancake breakfast with Shelburne Farms' very own syrup both days from 9 a.m. to noon in the McClure Center for School Programs at the Farm Barn. The breakfast is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Proceeds will benefit the club's dairy project.
