Ticonderoga business students

TICONDEROGA - The Ticonderoga High School Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America participated in the District 4/5 competition held in Albany recently.

The competition included 18 schools competing in 28 events. The events covered various business subject areas from economics and introduction to business to public speaking and job interviewing. The competition helps prepare students for the state competition which will be held this year in Rochester from April 22-24.

The Ticonderoga students who competed in this event included Megan Barber, Kaleb Bruce, Anthony Contarino, Keri Cruickshank, Emily Facteau, Josh Huestis, Kenneth Johnston, Jake Kelly, Brittney LaVoie, Chris Maldonaldo, Darian McDonough, Riana Millington, Tim Robbins and Megan Scuderi.

The Ticonderoga chapter entered students in 14 of the 28 events. Students who won awards included:

- Tim Robbins, first place in accounting;

- Megan Barber, first place introduction to technology concepts;

- Brittney LaVoie, second place in job interview; and

- Emily Facteau, second place in spreadsheet applications.
