LAKE PLACID - Forest Ledger, a fifth-grade student at Lake Placid Elementary School, has qualified to participate at the state level for the National Geography Bee. The state bee will be held Friday, April 3, at the New York State Museum, Cultural Education Center in Albany. Ledger is the first student from LPES to qualify for the bee at the state level.
