Students plan NYC trip

CROWN POINT - Crown Point Central School sixth grade students will hold a redeemable bottle and can drive on Saturday, March 21.

All proceeds will benefit the annual sixth grade trip to New York City in June.

Redeemable bottles and cans may be dropped off at the school on Saturday from 9-110 a.m.

"The sixth grade students work hard each year to raise enough money to be able to take this trip that ties in with sixth grade New York State standards," said teacher Silke Huntington. "All donations of bottles and cans are greatly appreciated."

The students also have three ticketed fund raising items currently available.

They include 150 gallons of home heating fuel oil, a $150 gift card from Wal-Mart and a whole boneless prime rib from the Two Brothers Meat Market.

Students collecting bottles and cans on March 21 will have tickets available. They may also be purchased at the school from 8:30 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.

The winning names will be drawn at the Spring Fling Dinner in May at the Crown Point School.
