The Eagles started the game with a 23-5 run and led at the half, 38-13.

Three Westport players finished in double figures, led by Nathan Gay with 26. Bo McKinley ran the offense well, finishing with 19 points and five assists. Curtis Mead scored 17.

Jeff Reynolds finished with a game-high 23 for the Orange and Jordan Wallace added 10.

Moriah tops Schroon

Moriah reached the Section VII Class D boys basketball tournament championship game by beating Schroon Lake, 54-36, March 3.

The issue was never in doubt. The Vikings raced to a 15-4 lead and extended their advantage to 31-10 at the intermission. It was 55-20 after three quarters.

Schroon Lake finished the game on a 16-1 spurt, but never threatened

Hayden Whalen took advantage of a size mismatch against the Wildcat as the Viking big man finished with a team-high 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Ethan Tyrrell hit 11 of Schroon's 17 field goals and finished with a game-high 23 points.
