Baker to offer presentation

BOLTON LANDING - A St. Patrick's Day Covered Dish Brunch will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday March 15 at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Bolton Landing, following the 10 a.m. worship service. Lunch meats will be provided. Families are invited to bring a hot or cold covered dish.

Bolton Central student Marcus Baker will present an illustrated talk on his experiences as a member of the "People to People" trip to Australia and New Zealand last summer. Baker will present a Power-Point program he created on the trip, featuring sights of Sydney, the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics Rainforest near Cairns.

In New Zealand, Baker and group members visited Auckland, Mount Ngongataha, the Waikato River and the Waimangu Thermal Valley. The trip included visits to local schools and a sheep farm, a kangaroo farm and an island of wallabies. Two nights with a host family, meeting with government officials, and learning about aboriginal culture rounded out the experience for 22 teens from the Albany area. For more information on the talk, call 644-2492.
