SARANAC LAKE - Franklin County Public Health Services will be offering an immunization clinic at Petrova Middle School gym Wednesday, March 25 from 3-5 p.m.
Due to the increased numbers of whooping cough cases in Saranac Lake they are encouraging parents and community members to get immunized to prevent whooping cough. Whooping cough is highly contagious and can be spread by coughing. They will be offering a Tdap shot that protects you from both tetanus and whooping cough. Anyone age 11-64 can get a Tdap shot. If you have had a tetanus vaccination within the past two years you should not get the Tdap vaccination at this time. If you are unsure about whether you should have vaccination call with further questions.
They will also be offering routine immunizations as well. To ensure they have enough vaccine call for an appointment at 891-4471, ext 3002. Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are appreciated
