Chili contest winners announced

By all accounts the Better Middlebury Partnership's first annual Winter Carnival and Chili Contest were a big success during the last week in February.

It is estimated that over a 1,000 people attended the event to sample chili, enter or watch a snowshoe race or watch a sled dog demonstration.

The downtown raffle to benefit the Addison County Food Shelf raised $565.75. The winner of the luxury bed and breakfast night for two at the Middlebury Inn was the Morsman family of Middlebury.

Thursday, March 26 at 6 p.m. will be the next Better Middlebury Partnership meeting. The focus of the meeting will be our partnership with a statewide organization called Local First Vermont.
