Local organizations to meet
The Thurman emergency squad meets Sunday March 8 at 6 p.m. at the squad building on High St. The squad is still in need of a sofa bed and is also seeking more volunteer members. Those with questions, call 623-9810
The Thurman Youth Commission is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday March 10 in the Thurman Town Hall. For information, call 623-2249.
The senior bus runs on Friday March 13 for all residents age 60 or over. The bus trip is free and travels to Glens Falls for shopping or appointments. Call Laura at 623-9281 by Wednesday to reserve a seat.
The Southern Adirondack Four Wheeler Club is scheduled to meet Friday March 13 at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall. All who wish to get acquainted with riding all-terrain vehicles in the warmer months are welcome to join the group. For information, call 623-2007.
The Mommie and Me Club meets at 10 a.m. Wednesday March 11 in the Athol Youth building. An exciting new craft project for children will be offered at the gathering. All moms and guardians and all preschoolers are welcome to join these get-togethers. Those with questions are asked to call Jennifer at 623-5024.

Clothes filling the basement at the Town Hall have to be given away by April 1. Residents in need of good clothing are welcome to stop by the town hall, take a look at the items to see if they fit family members, and take them home at no charge. Brig bags to carry items home.
