"This was music that was created for the aristocracy and enjoyed by the aristocracy," said Brown. "And, now, it's for all of our enjoyment."
The March 15 concert will begin at 3 p.m. with "Suite in G Minor" and "Suite in B-flat Major," separated by "Trios pour les Couchers du Roy," a selection played for King Louis XIV as he prepared to retire for the night.
General seating tickets are $15 and may be obtained in advance by mail or at the door. Significant discounts will be made available to Hill and Hollow Music members and subscription rates are available.
Lake Forest Senior Living Community in Plattsburgh will host a mini-concert the night before, Saturday, March 14. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m., with those attending able to have dinner at the facility prior to the performance at 5:30 p.m. The cost of the dinner and concert is $20 or $10 for the concert alone.
