Vermont Illustrator Harry Bliss is an award winning, nationally syndicated cartoonist and cover artist for the New Yorker magazine.

Bliss is the illustrator of many wonderful children's books including his latest, Louise, the Adventures of a Chicken by Kate DiCamillo; Diary of a Worm, Diary of a Spider, and Diary of a Fly by Doreen Cronin; A Fine, Fine School by Sharon Creech; A Very Brave Witch by Alison McGhee and Which Would you Rather Be? by William Steig.

Death By Laughter is Mr. Bliss' new adult collection of gag cartoons that look at the world in a fresh, twisted, and unique way. Each panel is a sharp and smart look at the paradoxes of life, ranging from lust and love to misfortune and bitterness. Bliss's cartoons expose truths so human, so real, they're timeless.
