The Adirondack Park Agency Visitor Interpretive Center (VIC) in Paul Smiths opened the Native Species Butterfly House for its 17th season on June 18. The Butterfly House, originally opened in 1993, is a 30-by-55-foot open-air enclosure that duplicates the natural environment. It is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday from mid-June until Labor Day with staff on hand to answer questions.
