Sentinels reach

Ticonderoga's baseball team came within a game of reaching the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class C Final Four this spring.

The powerhouse Sentinels finished the season with a 17-3 record. The Sentinels also won their fifth straight Section VII Class C baseball championship.

Ticonderoga reached the state Final Four in 2006 and has established a reputation as one of New York's leading baseball programs.

Coached by Dan Dorsett and assistants Rick McClintock, Nate Yaw and Scott Nephew, Ticonderoga also won the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Division II championship this season - their fifth straight CVAC crown.
