NATURE'S FURY

Powerful winds felled trees across Addison County around 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, leaving many without electricity for up to five hours. The Vergennes-Ferrisburgh-Charlotte areas were hardest hit with winds blowing at over 40 mph. The fast-moving storm cell, bringing in cold air, ushered in an unusual frost warning for the early morning of June 1. Pictured: Sunday's "microburst" left its mark at Greg Fisk's residence on Little Chicago Road in West Ferrisburgh.
