Warrensburg upsets Fort Ann with tough defense, late scoring attack

"Mike is young, and while it's taken a while for him to get comfortable, he's now coming into his own," Schloss said.

Curtis scored 12 points for the game and Junior Brendan Frye hit 11. Sophomore Ryan Belden tallied and Junior Dante Siletti came off the bench to hit 4.

In recent games, Siletti has been hitting some good shots, Schloss said, noting he contributed critical points late in the game against Fort Ann. Brendan Frye also contributed a solid performance, Schloss said.

"Dante is an excellent shot, and Brendan Frye is always a floor leader," Schloss said. "We're looking to finish our schedule strong, and now were setting our sights at winning the Sectionals."

This week, the team is idle due to Regents' exams. Tuesday Feb. 3, the Burghers meet up against Corinth, followed by North Warren Fri. Feb. 6 . Then comes a matchup against rival Lake George Tues. Feb. 10.
