Tutor training begins Feb. 2

PLATTSBURGH - Learn about other cultures, gain hands-on experience to add to your resume, and make a difference in the community by becoming a tutor.

Tutor an adult one-to-one for two hours per week in basic literacy or in English to speakers of other languages. Orientation will be held Monday, Jan. 28 from 5:15-7:15 p.m. Training will be held Monday, Feb. 2; Wednesday, Feb. 4; Monday, Feb. 9; Wednesday, Feb. 11; and Monday, Feb. 16 from 5:15-7:15 p.m. Orientation and workshops will be held at Literacy Volunteers-Clinton County, room 049 Hawkins Hall at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
