Ticonderoga Knights induct member

TICONDEROGA - The Ticonderoga Knights of Columbus Council #333 held a First and Second Degree Exemplification recently at the local council hall.

The night began with a prayer led by Deacon Elliot Shaw, followed by the ceremonies of the two degrees. There were approximately 20 members in attendance and one new candidate.

Brian Venne of Port Henry took his First and Second Degree Exemplifications.

During the ceremony the First Degree Grand Knight, Michael Edson announced that these two Degrees were being held in honor of Deacon Elliott Shaw. Deacon Shaw is a highly respected member of the Ticonderoga Council and of St. Mary's Parish spending countless hours of service to the Knights, Catholic Community and St. Vincent De Paul Society. Shaw joined the Knights of Columbus in 1962. He is a Fourth Degree Knight and recently celebrated 50 years of marriage with his wife Peg reviewing their vows at St. Mary's Church.

Following the ceremonies those in attendance were treated to a spaghetti dinner served by Richard Fazioli, Grand Knight.
