New Pastor appointed to UMC

NORTH CREEK - The North Creek United Methodist Church is pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev. Kristi Van Patten to its pastorate. The appointment, made by the Troy Conference of the United Methodist Church is effective immediately, and ends a short period during which the local church was without a pastor.

Rev. Van Patten, a graduate of Wells College and the Ohio Methodist Theological School, previously served as pastor in North Creek from 2001 to 2003, and is happy to return to the area. Kristi and her daughter Kylie will be in residence in the local parsonage on weekends. During the week they may be reached through the local parsonage telephone at 251-2906 and contacted through voice mail.

The North Creek United Methodist Church holds its Sunday services at 9 a.m. It offers activities for young children during the worship service. There is an adult study and discussion group ("Tea and Theology") that meets at the parsonage on Monday afternoons at 1p.m. Choir practice is on Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. All are cordially invited to attend the services and activities of the church.
