Volunteers sought for town service

Supervisor Red Pitkin and the town board would like to hear from all members of the community who would be interested in sitting on a committee pertaining to community activities, tourism development, landfill, highway, land-use planning, food pantry and virtually all other aspects of town management. There are a variety of committees in the town, so several people are needed. Call Norma at 623-9649 and leave your name and contact information or stop by the town hall any Wednesday during regular business hours.

Town officials are also seeking volunteer members for the town youth commission. In looking over a list of 18 activities and programs that were ongoing five years ago, there are now only two still active. The youth still need planned activities and outings, and your ideas and support may help revitalize programs. The town needs volunteers - can you spare an hour or two? Call Myrna at 623-2249 or Maria at 623-9961.
