Electricians recruit apprentices

WATERTOWN - The Electricians Joint Apprenticeship Committee of Watertown, Local 910, will conduct recruitment from Jan. 5 through Dec. 7, for 10 apprentices.

Applications can be obtained in person only, at union offices at 25001 Water Street, Watertown, or 28 New York Road, Plattsburgh, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the first working Monday of each month during the recruitment period.

The union requires that applicants:

Be at least 18 years old.

Have a high school diploma, with two years of math, one being algebra, Math I, or first year high school Regents Math - a letter of verification must be mailed by the school.

Take a physical examination upon acceptance into the program.

Have reliable transportation to and from job sites and related instruction classes.

Take an aptitude test as administered by the IBEW.

Be a U.S. citizen or legally able to work in the United States.
