Police seek Rite Aid robbery suspect

WEST RUTLAND - On Jan. 5, at approximately 7:21 p.m., a white male wearing a brown Carhartt-brand jacket with a hood entered the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Main Street in West Rutland. The suspect showed what appeared to be a hand gun and used a note to demand oxycontin and oxycodone. The suspect was wearing the hood at the time of the incident.

The suspect is described as being approximately 5'11" to 6'03" tall, thin build in the area of 175 lbs. He has dirty blond to brown colored hair, which is closely cropped. He has no facial hair, but appeared to have some stubble. He was also described as having light colored or greenish-blue eyes. The suspect is believed to be between 18 and 25

After this incident it was learned that Whitehall Police in Whitehall, N.Y., were also investigating a similar armed robbery at the CVS, which took place at approximately 6:30 p.m. It was found that the description of the suspect did match and these are presently being investigated as possibly the same individual.
