Troop 36 Boy Scouts hit the snow for a fine hike

NEWCOMB - The Boy Scouts from Troop 36 of North Creek hit the trails at the Newcomb Visitors Interpretive Center (VIC) last weekend for a snowshoe hike. Seven Boy Scouts, one friend and two adults attended.

The scouts hiked along the Sucker Brook Trail for several hours Sunday, Dec. 28, stopping frequently to take breaks and enjoy the nature surrounding them.

The scouts included Aaron Ferguson, Liam Harrison, A.J. Heid, Patrick Prouty, Chris Sears, Jon Sears, and Thomas Wilson. Along with this crowd were Chet Prouty, Corrina Woods, and Mike Corey.

Tara Sears stepped in as Scoutmaster for her husband, Paul, who is serving with the Army Reserve in the Middle East. Tara organized the hike and helped prepare the scouts for the event.
