TICONDEROGA - The town of Ticonderoga has started repairs to the sewer main on Lake George Avenue and Water Street. Construction will consist of rerouting and replacing approximately 2,000 feet of 10-inch sewer main, manholes and laterals.
Because of blasting to install the pipe, the section of Lake George Avenue between Calkins Place and Alexandria Avenue will be closed indefinitely. People are asked to take an alternate route. Every effort will be made to reopen the road at the end of each work day.
Construction will continue through the winter, weather permitting.
