Gail Needham, Jean Rumble, Lori Smith, Chip Aldrich and Matt Kennedy will be celebrating birthdays on Jan. 10; Hial Hall IV, Lonna Sonley and Cindy Fowler all celebrate on Jan. 11; John Baker and Cassie Mott celebrate on Jan. 13; and Nicholas May does so on January 15.

Natalie Sadow of Naples, Italy enjoyed some time in Schenectady with her mom, Phyllis Sadow. She also visited her aunt Evie Russell in Thurman prior to the Christmas Holiday.

Cheryl and Marc Kenyon of Bear Pond Road enjoyed a week's vacation in Sacramento, Calif. where they were guests of their son and daughter-in-law Marc Jr. and Jeana Kenyon. They arrived on their grandson's birthday! Little Gibson Oscar Kenyon celebrated his first birthday Dec. 17 and became reacquainted with his eastern grandparents.

Get well wishes are out to all those who picked up the cold and flu virus! A speedy recovery is out to Orpha Baker, Hail Hall III, Vern Baker Jr., Jeff Grants, Pearl Cameron and Charlotte Brandt.

Winners of some nice prizes at the Thurman Children's Christmas Program were: Maria Fruda, Ben Terrell, Rachael Baker, Autumn Moulton and Kayla Arnold. A big candy prize was won by Toni Rae Fruda. Congratulations to all.

Over the snowbank

The Thurman Highway Crew really enjoyed their hot luncheon sponsored by many town folks who brought in covered dishes Dec. 22.

They wish to thank everyone who helped to make this possible with special appreciation to Cynthia Hyde for organizing such a treat for all the workers.
