Other Burghers earning places were John Vaisey, 6th at 96 pounds; Abby Roth, 5th at 112, Donovan Santisteban, 5th at 119 pounds; and Cole Tennant, 6th at 145.
Other teams entered in the traditional tournament were Massena, Malone, Westlake, Middlebury Vt., Ogdensburg, AuSable Valley, and tourney winner John Jay, in addition to Kingston, Warrensburg, Spaulding Vt., and host school Peru Central, which placed 2nd overall.
The Warrensburg Wrestlers stayed at a Best Western motel near Peru. Their accommodations were underwritten by the Warrensburg Wrestling Club.
Earlier last week, Rock was named champion of his weight class and three other Burgher wrestlers placed Tuesday at the Queensbury Wrestling tournament.
Rock won his weight class, beating his tough opponent from Scotia in the finals in a 5-3 decision.
Abby Roth put up a strong performance, capturing the runner-up spot in her 112-pound weight class.
Veteran wrestler Donovan Santisteban placed 3rd at 119 pounds, and Colin Campbell achieved 5th at 285. Cole Tennant competed at 145 pounds. The remainder of the Burgher team competed Friday in the Queensbury tournament's junior varsity class.
