AuSable Valley 63, Chazy 37

CHAZY - The Patriots made light work of the Eagles in non-league play Jan 5.

AuSable Valley raced out to a 40-19 halftime lead, dominating throuhout the contest.

Ricky Lee and Ryan Murphy led a balanced scoring attack by the Patriots with 11 and 10 points, respectively. 11 players scored for AuSable Valley.

Shea Howley provided much of the scoring for Chazy with 14 points.

Chazy 50, Keene 48

KEENE - The Eagles squeaked by host Keene for their second win of the season in MVAC boys basketball Jan. 6.

Down just two points at halftime, the Beavers tied the game by the third quarter. They were unable to keep pace in the fourth, however.

Chazy had three players in double figures, including Andrew LaPierre with 18, Tyler Bulriss with 11, and Shea Howly with 10.

Similarly, Keene relied mainly on three of its players for scoring. Patrick O'Dell led with 17, and Sam Earl and Dylan Boyle had 12 and 11, respectively.

Westport 71, Willsboro 43

WILLSBORO - In a repeat of their game just days earlier, Westport routed Willsboro with a double-digit victory in MVAC boys basketball Jan. 6.

Up by 11 at halftime, the Eagles exploded for 24 points in the third quarter while holding the Warriors to just eight. Nathan Gay, who led Westport with 21 points, scored 13 in the third.

Bo McKinley contributed 16 points to the effort and Colin MacIver 10 to go along with a host of rebounds.

Alex Hamel and Lucas Strong accounted for much of the Warriors' offense with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
