"Logan's big, strong and athletic - a good combination for a heavyweight," Trapasso said.
Colin Campbell placed second at the Granville tournament in the super-heavyweight class of 285, although he weighs a mere 238. Trapasso said Campbell uses aggressive moves and his muscles to overcome the weight disadvantage.
"Colin is strong and he works hard," Trapasso said.
Logan Winter, 125 pounds, placed third in the tournament. Trapasso said he's got a solid future in the sport.
"Logan's quite an athlete," he said.
Abby Roth, WCS's history-making Class D champion wrestler, twisted her knee in practice last week, so she sat out the tournament. Trapasso said he expects that she'll be back in action later this week, following up on her early season successes.
The War-Eagles of Hadley-Luzerne-Lake George had a good showing, with third-place finishes from Joe Plante at 112, Cecil Hayes at130 and Jake Kubricky at 145.
