Collins worked for Wood at the time and also ran his own asbestos abatement business, owner of Adirondack Asbestos. Wood and Collins both pleaded guilty to conspiring to violate the Clean Air Act and the mail fraud statute before Judge Hurd last September. Wood further pleaded guilty to contempt of court based upon numerous new asbestos crimes he committed while awaiting trial on the original charges.
Wood and Collins both testified against Desnoyers at trial last September. Desnoyers was convicted of all counts of an indictment charging him with a Clean Air Act violation, mail fraud conspiracy and related substantive violations.
Desnoyers is scheduled to be sentenced March 13 before Judge Hurd in Utica.
