Chili cooks sought for Bands 'n Beans

LAKE GEORGE - Hot chili and hot music will be celebrated at the annual Bands 'n Beans event scheduled for Roaring Brook Ranch Sunday March 8 from 2 to 7 p.m.. More than 50 restaurants and individuals annually compete in the event's chili-cooking contest, along with music by Chris Ballini, Rich Ortiz, Tequila Mockingbirds, No Outlet, Jim Gaudet and the Railroad Boys, Stony Creek Band, Alan Payette Band, Ramblin Jug Stompers, and Dirt Cheap.

Bands 'n Beans is a benefit for the Lake George Arts Project. Admission is $20. Tickets are available at the door.

Attendees vote for their favorite chili in both the restaurant and individual categories. Entrants in the individual category are asked to submit two gallons of chili, and in turn receive an admission ticket, a $20 value. Individual chili cooks must pre-register by March 2. To register, or for more information, contact the Arts Project at 668-2616 or mail@lakegeorgearts.org.
