Hannaford students honored

On Feb. 6, the Arts and Humanities Academy of Hannaford Career Center presented the Second Quarter Awards Assemblies in the Middlebury Union High School Auditorium. The events recognized 28 outstanding students from nineteen career programs as well as 71 students who had achieved perfect attendance.

The M.C. was student leader Caleb Smith Hastings. A slide show featuring Addison Repertory Theater, Video Tech Arts, and Visual Communications programs was viewed by over 300 students attending. The afternoon program featured Bethany Neil performing a Shakespeare monologue and Jordan Novotney singing Peter Pan's "Never Never Land."

The following students received outstand student certificates, along with T shirts and gift certificates: ART Technical Karl Krahn, ART Performance Anna Tracht and Bethany Neil, Agribusiness Technology Lewis Fox and Ricky Brisson, Automotive Technology Jacob Ouellette and Adam Berno, Construction Technology Tyler Barber, Co-operative Education Tyler Steady, Culinary Arts Sean Higgins, Diesel Technology Cole Goyette and John Rao, Forestry and Heavy Equipment Trevor Bergevin and Shane Bouchard, Foundations of Engineering Conner Kelley.

Foundations of Technology Linwood Chamberlain, Health Careers Kali Trautwein, Human Services Courtney Greeno and Sheena Adams, Industrial Design and Fabrication Basil Jerger, Mechanical Science Ashley Howlett, Pre-engineering Schuyler Klein, Alexa Clarisse and Dylan Newton, Sustainable Landscapes Zachary Sullivan, Video Tech Arts Paytton Hobbs, and Visual Communications Kiera Hoefle.
