Elementary students collect books

Principal Dennis A. Rasco said he is proud of how the students, faculty and parents came together once again to make the donation possible.

"A project like this really demonstrates the caring of the students and the community," he said. "These books will be used by many, many children."

In addition to the donation of books, Mooers Elementary and other schools within the Northeastern Clinton Central School District are continuing to participate in the Big Change Roundup for Kids, a fundraiser sponsored by WOKO 98.9 FM and Wal-Mart to benefit the Vermont Children's Hospital.

For more information about that fundraiser, contact coordinator Melody Trombley at 298-8681, or visit www.bigchangeroundup.org.
