ROUSES POINT - Liza Canning and James Menard of Rouses Point were married at St. Patrick's Church Oct. 11, 2008. The Rev. Clyde A. Lewis officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Bernard Canning, Champlain, and the late Patricia Canning. The groom is the son of Jimmy Menard, Chazy, and Melissa LaPorte, Champlain.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Patrick Canning, and her father. Her maid of honor was LauraBeth Henry, Philadelphia, Pa.
Bridesmaids were Kristen Ackerly, Queens; Sandra Oldfield, Virginia Beach, Va.; Shelley LaPier, Mooers; Dana Pickering, Champlain; and Mandy Upton and Jennifer Canning, both of Rouses Point.
The best man was Mark Badger, Rouses Point. Ushers were Noah Rounds, Champlain; Alan LaPier, Mooers; Adam Hipple, Virginia Beach, Va.; and Brad Suprenant, Patrick Canning, Shawn Connelley, all of Rouses Point.
The flower girl was Mya Poissant, Champlain, and ring bearer was Keaton Badger, Rouses Point.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Seton Catholic Central School, Plattsburgh, and 2000 graduate of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, where she earned a bachelor's degree in child and family services. She is employed as a release and classification specialist at FedEx Track Networks in Champlain.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Northeastern Clinton Central School. He is employed as an import specialist at Livingston International in Champlain.
A reception at the Holiday Inn in Plattsburgh followed the ceremony. The couple now resides in Rouses Point.
