Chester Historical Society to host "attic sale"

CHESTERTOWN - This winter the Historical Society of the Town of Chester will sponsor an Attic Sale alongside the Friends of the Chester Library Annual Winter Book Sale. These two sales will take place at the Town of Chester Municipal Building in Chestertown, Feb. 20-21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Offered at the Attic Sale will be framed and unframed documents, books, and magazines of historical events, such as the Kennedy assassination. Life and Look magazines circa 1963-1970 are for sale. Various objects with local, state and/or national historic informational value will also be presented.

The Friends of the Library Book Sale will present new and nearly new hard and soft cover books for readers of all ages, a variety of magazines, puzzles, books on tape, videos, CDs and DVDs.

This year's selections include children's books, coffee table books, biographies, novels, history, romance, mystery, non-fiction, home improvement, crafts, religion, and large print. There are several Adirondack Life magazines and National Geographics.
