TICONDEROGA - Adirondack Furniture by George has come to Ticonderoga.
Located at 113 Montcalm Street, the store specializes in Adirondack and rustic furniture.
It also features a large variety of colonial and unusual gifts, including children's muskets, tricorn hats, bonnets, replica muskets, Roman helmets and more.
Adirondack Furniture by George is owned by George and Adele DeMers, former owners of the Old Saratoga Trading Post and the Iron man Museum.
George is a local artisan, who designs and builds the one-of-a-kind Adirondack and rustic furniture. He noted his Adirondack furniture is made in the Adirondacks, not in the south or out of the country.
The store is easy to find. Its front window boasts a knight in armor, brown bess musket, leg irons, furs and more.
The store owners hope their business will attract tourist from Fort Ticonderoga and bring a little tourism traffic in.
