Shop local for shipping with Arbro BizBox

KEESEVILLE - Shipping packages is an inevitable part of the holidays and an important service for businesses year-round. Fortunately, there's a local outlet that has everything anyone might need for their shipping needs.

Arbro BizBox has been in operation for a little more than a year at 1881 Main St. in Keeseville, and owners Jim and George Armstrong say customers have openly expressed their appreciation.

"We've gotten a really positive response from the local community," said George. "They say that they're really happy to have us here to save them a trip."

According to the Armstrong brothers, theirs is the nearest shipping outlet outside of Plattsburgh and Lake Placid.

"That's a really long distance for people from Keeseville, Peru, and places south of here to come," said Jim. "Willsboro, Essex, AuSable Forks, or Wilmington; those are all places where it's closer to go here than anywhere else."

Authorized by FedEx, UPS, and USPS to ship, BizBox offers their customers a wide range of options when it comes to shipping, whether it be local, national, or international.

"A lot of people didn't realize that we had U.S. Postal Service here," said George, noting how they belong to the USPS approved shipper program. "We're just like taking something to the post office; you just pay a retail price for it."

Customers at BizBox will find a unique shipping kiosk where they can enter the weight and dimensions of their package and compare shipping rates.

"That's one of our strengths," said George. "We can go out for that customer across companies and come back with a quote with the cheapest way to ship it."

That ability to shop around can save customers an average of roughly $1 per package, said Jim.

During their first year, BizBox has added the ability to ship using small freight. They also plan to add a courier service in the coming months.
