H1N1 Clinic to be held Dec. 30

PORT HENRY - The Essex County Public Health Department will be offering a free H1N1 Flu vaccine clinic on Wednesday, Dec. 30, from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. by appointment only at the Knights of Columbus at 72 South Main Street in Port Henry.

This clinic is for everyone six months of age and older who want the vaccine, including those who are not in the CDC target groups. Please call 873-3500 to request an appointment for this clinic.

Children through nine years of age who need the second dose of H1N1 vaccine will also be served at this clinic. The recommended space between doses of H1N1 flu vaccine is 28 days. For the Dec. 30 clinic children would need to have received their first dose on or before Dec. 2.

Essex County Public Health Department will be returning to schools within Essex County and will be offering additional community H1N1 clinics starting in January 2010. Please look for updates on Essex County Public Health Department's website: www.co.essex.ny.us/PublicHealth or call 873-3500.
