TUPPER LAKE - The International Paper Foundation has generously contributed $2,000 to help support The Wild Center's "Family Art In Nature Program", which offers family-friendly, nature-themed art projects every Sunday during the snowy winter months.
Families and children participating in The Wild Center's "Family Art in Nature Program" can expect to create, and take home, memorable arts and crafts featuring Adirondack wildlife, plants, and seasonal themes. Projects range from "earth friendly" decorated shopping bags, "real-life" snowflakes, to bird feeders and even the "edible" creature extravaganza.
"Family Art in Nature" is offered during "Winter Wildays" at the Museum every Sunday from 1-3 p.m. The Wild Center is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Nov. 1st through March 31 with special holiday hours from Dec. 26-31.
The Wild Center expressed appreciation of International Paper's underwriting support, which enables the Museum to continue offering high quality educational programs to North Country residents.
