Willsboro boys look to rebound

WILLSBORO - Last season was tough for the Willsboro boys basketball team as they finished with a 6-15 overall record. This year, they hope to bounce back.

"Our goal this year is improve are record from last year," said head coach Jim Spring. "With seven players returning from last years team, four of which were starters, we should be able to give the other teams in are leauge some really tough games."

Alex Hamel, last year's team leader in scoring with 13.5 ppg, returns along with fellow junior Alex Shepard, who led the team in rebounding with nine per game.

Seniors Lucas Strong, Justin Drinkwine, Elliot Pierce, Tyler Pierce, and junior Patrick Wells also return. Juniors John Pollack and Lucas Ashline, together with sophomore Clay Sherman, add promising new depth to the roster.
