Westport boys remain strong

WESTPORT - Coming off a stellar 2008-09 season, the Westport boys basketball team is hoping to maintain their dominance of the MVAC.

The Eagles lost six seniors from last year's 17-2 team, but return two key All-Star starters: senior Nathan Gay and junior Bo McKinley, both of whom led the team in scoring last year.

"We are rebuilding a little from a huge loss from graduation," said head coach Brad Rascoe, "but our nucleus is still pretty strong with scoring and ability."

Seniors Alan Ware, Jesse Stevens, and Johnny Stahl; and juniors Kevin Russell and David Quaglietta round out a versatile lineup.
