CLINTONVILLE - The AuSable Valley girls finished on top last year in CVAC Division II with their 14-2 league record. This year, they hope to come back as strong as ever.
"We want to win Division II and compete for Section VII Class B Title against Peru, NCCS, and Saranac," said head coach Roger Long. With three starters returning, they are primed to do just that.
Alexis Coolidge, a first-team CVAC All-Star who led the team in scoring and rebounds last year, returns as a junior to lead an experienced squad. Senior sharpshooter Michelle Taylor and junior Kayla Taylor also started last year and will no doubt have a big impact. Alexis Facteau returns for her sophomore year to start at center.
The Patriots have plenty of other weapons in juniors Savannah Douglas, Alex Casey, Carlee Hart, and Jordan Finnegan; senior Heather Braid and sophomore Alexis Ryan.
