Presley McItyre, age 2, of Ticonderoga plays with bubbles, one of the many offerings during the Waterfest event in Bicentennial Park July 25. Hundreds of people turned out under sunny skies to take advantage of the celebration of local water resources. Attractions and events included exhibitors, children's games, a toddler fishing derby, kayak and canoe demonstrations, live music and square dancing.

A monument marking the spot Samuel de Champlain first visited the area sponsored by the 2009 Celebration Champlain Committee and co-sponsored by the Ticonderoga Historical Society and town was also dedicated during the event.
