TICONDEROGA - Inter-Lakes Health has welcomed Dr. Friederike K. Keating, a cardiologist from Fletcher Allen Health Care in Vermont, to its list of specialists offering medical services at Moses-Ludington Hospital.
Keating is also an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She is the leader of the Women's Cardiac Care Program, and is board certified in internal medicine and nuclear cardiology as well as in cardiovascular disease.
"I am very pleased to be able bring our cardiology clinic to the people in the Ticonderoga area," said Keating. "The ability to provide this care closer to home is a big factor in making specialty care more accessible to patients."
"We are very happy to bring Dr. Keating and her skills to Inter-Lakes," said Kevin Haughney, CEO/CFO of the health care corporation. "She offers our patients advanced cardiac care, right here in our specialty clinics.
"The convenience of having some of the best medical practitioners come to Inter- Lakes makes is easier for residents to get the care they need in a place they trust," Haughney said. "We are committed to continuing the search for other physicians to expand the services we offer in the specialty clinics."
Inter-Lakes offers local residents a number of specialty clinics throughout the month in a variety of medical specialties: gastroenterology; obstetrics/gynecology; general surgery; neurology; plastic surgery; orthopedic; ophthalmology; sleep apnea; dentistry; and mental health.
The Ticonderoga location also offers medical imaging - CT scans, ultrasounds, bone densitometry, mammograms and X-rays - a full-service physical therapy department for inpatient and outpatient treatment, as well as smoking cessation classes and weekly free blood pressure checks.
