KEENE VALLEY - The Beavers are looking to burst on the scene, carrying the momentum of last year's 5-9 season.

"Last year we had a very young team with lack of experience, and we were playing our best baseball at the end of the year," said head coach Chris Markwica. "I hope to pick up where we left off, and I think the first game will be a crucial testament of what our season will be like."

Keene returns seven players, including senior Nate Woods, who will be key on the mound. Fellow classmates Caleb Hall and Andrew Murphy will start in the outfield.

Juniors Cody Whitney, Luke Andrews, and Dylan Boyle return to anchor the infield along with sophomore shortstop Sam Earl.

New this year are sophomores Everett Renderer, Max Vanwie, Brett Guerin, James Bell, and Austin Holbrook. Bell will jump in as the starting first baseman.
